We have a new model Drag Knife out, our 3rd generation. You can get this with just one offset or the set which has 3 offset caps: 1/16", 1/8", and 1/4".
All unique mechanical parts are made here...
It does alright, but not the ideal material for sure. The stuff I have is 4mm. I cut this diamond shape out (8" pt. to pt.), so the edges are at 45 degrees to the grain. The edges are pretty...
I have some on hand but might be thicker. I will try to fit in a test this week. I'd think you could dig in extra to the spoilboard to keep it straight.
Got a new one out:

Google screw extractor. The type I've used has a left hand drill and another bit to dig into the hole you drill. It works. If you don't have time to wait, I'd just drill it out. If you ding the...
mine's on a bungee. The top connection of the bungee is connected to a pulley running along a string so it can get some extra motion, but the pulley doesn't really move much. The bungee is pretty...
I got some stencil ink from McMaster. It did not go well. I couldn't get it to spray on with any consistency, so I gave up. Maybe I didn't get the right brand.
I use this one. I made a base so I can get it on off the table quickly.

I believe it is dye based and not pigment based like paint, so I assume it will...
dumb, new guy question: Why stencil ink over more typical cans of spray paint (acrylic or whatever)? What's the advantage, faster drying? I'm just starting in on a project where I want to mask and...
Oh right.. it's on the wood.
Joe, when you used that stuff, how did you hold it down when cutting? Vacuum table?
Cut some sand blast mask. This was Anchor 1.1mm sand blast mask. It cut easily, one pass, maybe 60 degrees in the shop.

I was sent some sandblast material. I will cut here in the next day or two and report on it. I think it will be easy. The gasket material I cut seems just as tough.
I think Dave is asking about...
These are two very different products. Diamond engraving and a drag knife like mine are for very different things.
A typical Drag Knife like mine adds capability to your machine. You can slice...
This one is not spring loaded, just to be clear. I'm confused. I've seen diamond bits for engraving.. I'm not sure why you'd need to drag it.

Ran some 1/16" rubber gasket material today. Easy. Tomorrow, I'd do some thick cardboard.
