Tim,
what did you do to fix the Rafix tooling problem?
David,
eCabinet Systems does not ship the software on disks anymore unless you make a special request. Here is a link to the download page to get Version 6 Build 6....
Alan,
Was this problem ever resolved or is it still a mystery?
Don,
Be sure to do that. The only way to get problems fixed in the link is to reproduce the problem yourself then give accurate detailed steps to the programmers for them to reproduce it. When...
Don,
What happened with this thread on the eCabinets Forum?
http://www.thermwood.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=12234
Did you send Scott the files he requested and what did he find?
John,There has been a problem with the rotate view in custom layout since the issue of version 6. I think it is only a problem for certain graphics cards. I have one of those cards so I have the...
John,
You will need to hold the shift key on your keyboard along with the left mouse button and drag the mouse to rotate the view in Custom Layout.
John,
In custom layout overhead view just draw the first wall (half of your finished wall) then click on the end of that wall to snap the next wall to it.

Here is the left wall in the edit wall view.

Build your cathedral using only two wall sections. I have separated the walls so you can see the break.

Hey Gary,
I resent that "little wide in the middle" remark.:)
RB,
I too am waiting for some software from Thermwood but was told it would be delayed until Brent returned from the trade show. It is unfortunate that you were not told this also but I can...
I want to address the problem many are having importing .dxf files into eCabinets (discussed in this thread)
I still feel that the problem lies in the fact that your .dxf files are not created using...
Tim,
Did all this fix your problem?
Gary
Send me one of these files.
Did you check to see if the radius in these was segmented before the import? Do you have problems cutting these files?
I also think what Scott and...
Gary,
When did the .dxf import go south? The last eCabinets update was in November of 2010 with build 6 and all this did was extend the time limit on the software. No other changes were made....
Gary,
I can't blame eCabinets for the .dxf import problem. If you follow the rules, only lines and arcs the files will import properly. The problem lies in the myriad of CAD programs and how they...
Tim,
I just opened your .dxf file in Contour of the Part Editor and erased the segmented arcs you talk about. I then extended the lines and trimmed them and finally used the fillet tool in eCabs...
Tim,
I didn't explode anything I just cleaned out the title block then re-saved the file. I didn't try to cut the file in eCabinets or I would have seen that some of the lines aren't joined.
...
Gary,
Tim emailed me his .dxf this morning and when I opened it I found his title block included in the file.

I cleaned that up and then saved...
Tim,
You can send the files to kerry@kerryfullington.com
Gary, Tim,
it will be intersting to see if this turns out to be a Cad problem or a link problem.
Tim,
I would like to look at the job and file. I can try running it when I cut my next job. I think there is some software available to convert polylines to lines. As I understand it an arc...
Gary,
The .dxf import will work as long as you follow Scott's suggestion that they only include Lines and arcs. No polylines, splines etc. If an arc or circle in your .dxf file is segmented then...
