If you have a spindle and a VFD read the amp rating and then take a true RMS clampon amprobe and read what it pulls. My 18amp spindle only pulls 1.5 amps per leg. also most rotory converters are...
spend the bucks and get a VFD, They are cheap (relatively) quiet and will reduce your power bill. I have 4 in my little shop and when I was the engineer for the airport we ran every pump and air...
If it had 202 and you changed them over to 203 I guess you need to change the jumper from the original setting. I'm not versed in shopbot boards but have worked with almost every gecko drive. your...
I agree also, Gecko 201 and 202 drives were 5 volt + ground and Gecko 203 are 5 Volt - ground. There is a pin on the drive that changes direction (dir) terminal 8. This terminal reverses the...
if it is only going in one direction it's because the drive doesn't see the +5 volt signal on the direction pin. Or you could have a bad drive. If you can change out the drive and this happens on the...
If your looking for a AR stl file go to CNCguns.com. You can buy the real thing from MidwayUSA.com a lot cheaper. I shoot paper and the AR is a great gun for that Mine has a 1" stainless barrel and...
Am I missing something. @ 360inches per min (6ips ) and @ 12000rpm that's only 33.333 rpm per inch.

I made some out of MDF, Because the brush is much smaller I get more suction. I have inserts to raise and lower my brush for longer or shorter bits.
Thanks
Don...
If your making them out of foam why not use a Hotwire cutter, CNC of course. Would be 1000 times faster.
Don
Only problem I had with the Kent was the brush was so big I didn't get enough suction. I made one up just like the Kent but made the brush diameter about 4".
Don
Get a Gerber edge, they print dyesub which will with stand the water.

Thanks Kevin

The guys at vectric worked for Delcam. Delcam cost around $7500 + support. Aspire is much easier to use and support is free.

The air cooled ones are also sealed, the air flow doesn't pass though the motor.
Don
You could alway get a Chinese spindle. There cheap and are sealed. I have run one for about a year and a friend runs his in a fairly heave production environment. Without any issues.

I bought a Teco (Westinghouse) inverter from Dealers http://dealerselectric.com/page.asp?id=20 and it was easy to hookup and it was only $643. Just remember you still need a inverter with a roto...
How? I would love to know. I guess you could load it up with capacitors but that would cost more than a inverter. The third leg is always lagging, they work ok for standard motors I had one on my...
