One of the connectors or motors had to have been changed somewhere. Most other software controllers can change motor direction in the settings, but I'm not aware of that in SB.

Unplug one of them from the board. Use an ohm meter to determine two pair of coils. reverse either of the pair that are on one coil and it will run the other way.
I tried to contact you when it was on craigslist for 1000 but you never responded
I never had a need for it, but I had a spare motor on hand. 150 dollars was cheap insurance and easier than extra plumbing.
I did per quad with electrical swithes to use the areas needed
I have done several where I put cut off electrical switches on some of the pumps. No valves used and just turn on the sections you need at the time. Everyone likes something different, but it's...
I had 3 shopbot's over the years and started repairing and selling machines. I'm glad I bought the first bot, but there is just a lot more (bang for the buck) machines out there now. The yellow lost...
I am one of the guys that moved on several years ago. It was great to have had the inexpensive used starter machines from shopbot. I had prt, prs, and a small one. Their new pricing went above...
It can be done in mach settings or by swapping wires. On the driver there should be A plus and minus and B plus and minus outputs to the motor. If you switch either one pair A or B wires (swap plus...
If it is consistant about cutting on the edge and not in the center like your last picture, the spoilboard moving has to be the issue.

You should not be using the same processor for the atc machine that worked on the old prt. Not the post processor anyway. And yes the bit can slip both directions. I'll post of pic of the start...
The main thing you can do when ramping in is increase the z feed speed. They don't like ramping into a cut with z slower than xy
After verifying that it is setting the z height to the correct position, run a file and then check again after the file runs to see if it moved. Bits can slip in a collet sometimes as well. Mainly...
Just fyi, no matter which one you buy, it will need to be programmed, even if you get the same one you have now. It may be possible to buy one from shopbot that is already programmed. It is not...
It will work and I have done it many times, but more power never hurts if you want to buy another. I think you would be pleased with the one you have unless you push it very hard, which I doubt can...
Hook up what you have. I think you will do ok with it.
I have never measured how much vac it pulls. Two of them have worked cabinet building on a 4x8 machine for years. If you cut very small parts, you may need to go with 4 motors, or apply both of...

Yes. I finished that one up today and am getting it under it's intended machine. Vents to help the motors cool, but not open to where someone can touch the wires. Opposing motors to give room for...

Two motors with mufflers are less than the price of one Fein. I have had both. Mufflers are great.
This machine has been sold.
