Can you run a humidifier in your shop? Perhaps put water in a spray gun?

This is a bit off subject but might surprise a lot of people. Carbide bits are not solid carbide. If they were, they'd be extremely expensive and brittle to the point of being useless.

If you use an airgun to blast air around the switch/speed control, you may find the switch is bound up with saw dust. If so, it's a trivial fix.

That's what my PRT Alpha sounded like. The motors are stepper motors and what you hear is the impulse of each step. Sometimes the sound can be really loud if the steps per second match up with some...
Outstanding! They will be appreciated for a long time.
The lumberyard where I used to live got a saw stop for free. Their insurance and the state workman's comp each paid half. It was a bargain all the way around.

Sawdust packed under the speed control stopped my router. Cleaned it out with compressed air and all was well again.

You might do the reset command. I have had the speed and acceleration values go wonky and cause symptoms like stuttering. I don't remember if the stutter happened in one or both directions.
You might try a single flute bit.

Even with a spindle, you will still have "bit" noise. It is highly dependent on the bit and type of cut.
On the plus side, hearing the bit noise will give considerable information about how...
There is another, dangerous possibility. You might have one of the "hot" 3 phase leads hooked to ground. Unless you are certain that you know what you are doing, call an electrician.
"NOT SB related"... but in a way, I think it is. Almost all of the people in this forum try to help everyone. It does not matter who or what you are.

Awesome!!!!
Joe,
Acetal may be double the density of solid PVC. It would be very bad for sign work because almost nothing sticks to it. In a way, it's like polypropylene.
I am amazed how abrasion...
I am curious why you chose PVC for gears. Acetal (Delrin) might be a much better choice for gears especially if they are going to see heavy use, high temperatures or chemical exposure.

Did this get resolved? If so, how?
Make sure you know what type of machine you have (PRT Alpha? without the 7.2:1 upgrade?). Type in "UR" and select your machine type. This will reinstall "factory default" values (including...
I also found her to be of great help!
You might try this instead : Amana Tool MR0102 Flush . I use the bit in a battery powered laminate trimmer.
It will cut the tabs flush and takes very little time. The bit that creates the tabs...
Nicely done. Both the booth and the $.
I find the real one much more impressive.

That's pretty much the same collector that I have. Did you take the "Y" off and check the grate behind it? I have had clogs form there.
