We used this 24x36 machine for a side business, but with me back in school that is pretty much done.
The machine works well from what I can tell. It has the plastic sides, which are beat to hell....
If it is, don't tell my wife that I have one!
The 1/4" down spiral with a final pass seemed to really help.
Now onto my next issue... learning to finish!
Thanks, guys. It looks like I have a little experimentation to do and maybe some shopping while I'm at it!
Scott,
I did get the starter kit. I just realized I said I was using 1/2" and 1/4". My smaller bit is 1/8".
I'm still too new to know what I do and don't like yet as far as bits go.

Thanks, Steve. I thought you meant like I needed to speed up the process somehow :-) Most of what I'm doing are in the 9x23 to 11x28 size range. Nothing big. I'm assuming that the 1/2" bit is quite a...

Thanks, Scott. I'll give that a try.
The problem I'm having looks almost exactly like this one, who's got a few recommendations for me to try out too:...
After playing for a few days:
I noticed the same thing. My spoil board was mounted about +1/4" in the X axis.
Yes, I am constantly moving the gantry out of my way to change bits.
I always forget...
I just got mine out of the crate yesterday :-)
It's my first CNC so I don't have anything to compare it to. It seems good so far. Is there anything you wanted to know?
