I think this is the video for you. Watch entire thing.

For my drawing files I'll do something simple like "Elephant bookshelf".
For the toolpath files, I'll do something like this:
Elephantbookshelf.50ply48x96Pocketandprofile.25compmortTableZero
...
I noticed that when I received a notice that you tried to send a PM. Sorry, had no idea that was a thing.
I deleted stuff so you should be able to resend it if you wish. My apologies again!
I'm an idiot, I misread his reply thinking he was asking why they were screaming the corners.
I have the same problem. I've contributed it to the machine ramping down in speed to make the corner. Otherwise it just purrs right on thru on the straight cuts.
Awesome work. Looks fun.
Nice stuff! Man I wish I was closer than 3 hours away!
That's sweet. Flip the legs, insert the 3 bolts, done! Someone is going to want to buy that then you'll have to make another one because then your spoons will be homeless again.
What is the...
All that being said though, I think most of your problem is the soft wide grain quarter sawn material you're using.
With Vcarving in solid wood and plywood, I have taken to like the setting 90ipm XYZ at 12k rpm with my machine (see sig line for specs). I mainly us a 3/4" wide Freud vbit. It leaves smooth edges...
Awesome. That's what we call "Redneck ingenuity" around here! My dad just hauled off a trailer load of brake rotors to the scrapyard. I knew I should've kept a couple of them. ;)
The only thing...
Cool table. Pretty strong also. Thanks for posting and taking the time to setup all the camera angles and editing.
I build one of the kid tables that Vectric posted on their free projects page. ...
TTT for friday. If no response I'll order one from SB
That's very cool. There is a Box Creator gadget on the Vectric site also. I may have to try this.
sent you a pm. I'm about 3 hours away. There is a guy that's east of ATL but I can't think of their name. Oak Branch manufacturing or something like that.
I peck drill holes in plywood with a downcut bit first, but only to about 0.1" into the material to keep the veneer from chipping up. Then I come back with an upcut to full depth.
I had the same...
PM sent 2006PRT.
phil_o- The PRT's should be all the same.
I just saw them on the SB website for $45. If these offer don't pan out I may go with them.
Very nice signs, designs, and finishes. Is this your full time gig?
I do not run a vacuum (or car pump) at all.
I have the same problem, hadn't figured it out yet. I have a 2006 PRT Alpha. My bit runs deeper into the freshly surfaced spoilboard the futher you go down the X axis.
I contributed it to a very...
Maybe some of you that have upgraded to a Kent or something may have one available? A part kicked out and got trapped between the shoe and the material on the table and broke part of it that can't...
What Eric suggested is what I'd do if I didn't have a compression bit or a down/upcut bit that didn't have a sufficient length of cut. The downcut will push the edge of the top layer of veneer down...
Shouldn't have any problems roughing with a 1/2" and finishing with the 1/8"BN. 3D cutting at 3ips X,Y, and Z feeds at 12Krpm should do the trick.
Look very handy. You've given me lots of great ideas as I essentially have a blank slate that I'm building from right now. Thanks for taking the time to share.
