Ok, my thought for the day: Why is it that when you are looking for something it’s the last place you look that you find it? Why can’t it be the first place you look?

+1 to what others have said.
I have a DeskTop with the same spindle and never had an issue with enough power. Also you’ll love the lack of noise as compared with a router.

Side to side:
30” C/C of foot adjusting screws and pads are 2” dia.
Front to back:
28 1/4 “ C/C of adjusting screws and pads are also 2” dia
This is for a Desktop not a Deaktop Max
If you are looking to just score the aluminum you might try a Diamond drag bit. (Just make sure your router/spindle is turned off with the diamond drag bit)
Beautiful work as always Scott.
Merry Christmas to you and let’s all hope for a happier New Year.

Scott,
Wish it was 28db. It is a REDUCTION of about 28db. From 87-90 now down to about 60 -65. I think my days using a router were probably 90-100db.
Thank goodness for spindles
Scott,
The fan is an Infinity Cloudline S4 that I purchased from Amazon. It has a 4" hose diameter with a variable speed control. Very quiet even though I run it at max rpm most of the time.
I've...

Well I don’t know what others are using however, I’m in the process of finishing an enclosure for my CNC. Not only to help keep the dust off my ‘puter but keep the dust out of my lungs. Along with...
Interesting thread.

Hummmm, thanks for the info Bill. I originally had the file set to write however, soon learned I didn’t want all the logs so disabled it. That being said I think I’ll install an external hour meter. ...
Thanks Scott. I downloaded the file and will attempt o load it tomorrow
I see the log files for the individual jobs however, haven’t found one for the TOTAL runtime of the machine
I dig a little deeper when I get back into the shop
Thanks for the info
Is there a file within the SB control software that records the total machine runtime?
Thanks to Bill and Ryan for their online “Camp” today. While I don’t currently have an indexer I think one is in my near future. Picked up some good information today and hopefully will retain it...
