"Start is Back" is also excellent and is only $2.
On our Morbidelli, with a 3 flute compression bit, I cut at 1200ipm and 15,000 rpm.
As someone with almost 20 years of big iron experience, Imo, this is not a high production machine.
It appears to be targeted to people with little to no previous software or cnc experience. It...
They're going to move, and there's nothing you can do about it. I'd probably just round over the end grain.
Lightweight MDF doesn't look any different than regular MDF, it just weighs less.
Buying a CNC with the hopes of making money will rarely make you any money.
There are already hundreds of people selling variations of "stock" models and carvings, typically for much less than...
If you look in their catalog, they show a cross section of each tool. The heavy duty bits appear to be thicker in the center, with shallower flutes.
I would argue that there are very few tools that a CNC can replace.
He mentioned a table say, planer, and jointer. All three can do what they do at least 10x-20x faster than doing the same tasks on...
Most people with Windows 7 and 8 (8.1) are getting a notification in their taskbar to "Get Windows 10".
Wouldn't Microsoft always want everyone to upgrade to their latest OS?
You can't wire the 110V pump to the same line as the 220V VFD, as there is no neutral line.
Very expensive, too. :D
Get a wider door, and rip it to about 17-13/16". Clean out the paper honeycomb along the cut edge, and glue in a new edge of pine or polar. When the glue dries, trim off the last 1/16" for a clean...
That's the main purpose of the brush. To stop flying chips and contain them until they can get sucked into the hose.
First, a 1HP collector is not really adequate for CNC use. I'd consider 2HP to...
Who were they "not accepted" by? The Posts themselves? They asked you to make them and then told you that you can't?
The OP and the follow up were definitely spammers.
But powder coated MDF is a very nice product. We build an item for a local hospital from powder coated MDF, and it's really nice. Extremely...
I've never cut OSB, but my guess that you'd want around double the feedrate and about 18,000 rpm.
If your machine can't handle that, back off both feedrate and rpm proportionally from there.
Increase your material thickness. It needs to be slightly thicker than your finished fretboard.
Try Autodesk's Fusion 360. Sign up as a startup and it's free.
Lot's of people skip the roughing.
It works best with a tapered ballnose, as they are much stronger than straight shanked ballnose bits, especially small ones.
I've had a few 10HP HSD ATC spindles rebuilt with bad bearings, and they were about $2500 each time.
Unfortunately, I've only seen pictures of two jigs, and they were on a different types of machines. Here's a video of one of them:

I know that there are a couple Shopbot users using it, but I don't know if they read or post here.
Seal it with a few coats of epoxy before the varnish, and the varnish will last longer. That's what they do for wooden boats.
US Composites has good quality epoxy at very good prices.

Be aware that if you use Gorilla glue, the foaming as it cures can actually push the phenolic away...
