Does Shopbot put out their own upgrade of version 9?
That's a 4" inch hose on my dust foot. Previously I had a 3" inch. I think the 4" inch does a better job.
Here is a picture of Kent Dust Shoe on my PRT. I was cutting 1/2" thick G-10, 12,000 RPM at 30 IPM using a SGS FGR-6 bit. I can't say enough good things about the Kent Dust Shoe. And the FGR-6 bit...
Have you tried Prolab65?
What worked for me was copying the updated VCarvePro Shopbot Edition executable file from the Design Computer to the Control Computer and overwriting the older version. As soon as I did that, then I...
i am guessing this is pretty easy but I have a question about how to update VcarvePro on my Shopbot control computer. I had version 8.505 on my design and control computers. Last week I was working...
What do you want the epoxy to do? Go clear on cure?
Take a look at Chesapeake Light Craft's website. I think they have plans that you can buy.
I bought a Win7 HP desktop from Newegg, stripped it down per Black Viper and have been very happy with it.
Awesome! I live in Maine and have climbed Katahdin a few times.
I am planning to hold at Windows 7, and then just buy a new box some time into the future. This is the "if it ain't broke then why fix it" thinking.
Now all I have to do is get rid of annoying...
This is for my control computer. My wife, who is in IT at a college, is saying "if it ain't broke why fix it". My argument is eventually the shopbot control software will have to be compatible with...
So, the question is do I do the free upgrade to Windows 10? Or stay with Windows 7? Any thoughts?

We can carve the Hull Identification Number (HIN, like a VIN for a car) into it and then laminate that directly into the boat. We used to use a label maker that printed backwards, which we would put...
All good info! Thanks.

We use a lot of G-10 for backing plates so am very familiar with its properties. I will have do some testing to determine the correct bit, feed and speed.
I want try to make some Hull Identification Numbers in G-10. I would have to engrave the letters and numbers, about 1/16" deep in some G-10, and then cut the perimeter through the 1/8" material....
Thanks for the info. I will take a look at an active extension cable, and let you know how it works out.
Ok. Thanks. I would be curious about your setup. I have a new usb cable that is 5 meters long and am going to buy a new hub. After going to the RBK, I am have some chatter on the corners which I am...
Ok. I have read some more and now understand. I think, with USB 2.0. that I should be good with a 5 meter cable. Or put another way, I am going to give it a try. I will let you know how it works out....
So, now I am confused. For full speed devices we can go to 5 meters but for low speed devices we are limited to 9 feet 10 inches....Seems backwards to me.
I am sure this has been answered before but I can't seem to find any of threads. I am wondering what the allowable length for the USB cord should be between 1) the hub and a RBK control box, 2) the...
