Brady,
Incredible work as always. You certainly are the best at unique materials cut with the Shopbot. I would say this has earned you the title wel deserved title of "Mr. Shopbot"
...
Dave,
I was setting up a shopbot for a local company several months ago when I ran into the same problem you described above. At least I to the best of my recollection I think it was the same...
Dave
Did you try to delete the shopbot.ini in the Shopbot 3 folder. It contains the unit values and possibly it is corrupted. When you delete it a new one will be reproduced automatically.
Henrik,
I suppose your dust collection system is grounded. Before I grounded mine I was getting false prox switch hits.
Mark,
If you do a search you will see a few table configurations with more then 8 zones such as my 13 zone table here. Total plumbing cost including valves was about $250.00 ...
Steve
Are you refering to manuel moves or automatic? You can change the move speed on the right side to as low as .05 for continuous very slow movement with the arrow keys. You can also make...
Yes, Partsworks has replaced Partwizard. Vectric makes Partworks for Shopbot and is said to be nearly the same as there own Vcarve pro. And yes it does much more than Partwizard.
You might be right Jack.
The most common reason for what you describe is loose pinion gears. Make sure both allen screws are tight.
The second possibility is if the mounting bolt for your motors is to tight or to...
BPM,
I am assuming you are using Partwizard since you posted in the Partwizard thread and not the new Partworks being shipped with Shopbots since around November.
If you highlight the...
Lou,
Here is a more detailed thread pertaining to information regarding a vacuum sheet lift. I did not test my fein vacuums but I did test my 7.5 pump from Shopbot and it worked but it draws...

Have you checked your pinion gear to make sure it is tight on the shaft. A loose pinion will give symptoms that can be erratic. With the motor energized try pushing first in on direction...
I also run my entire shop off a 100 amp sub panel off my 200 Amp main house panel. I have never had a problem and have had all the following on all at once. PRTAlpha 61X144, Colombo 3HP spindle, 5 HP...
Randall, Great insperation!
Andre, I hadn't seen Randall's rendition before seeing yours but regaurdless I like the design. It looked good in limestone and MDF but it realy looks great in wood.
Pat,
You can create most any profile including your tapered bit. First draw an exact half profile of your tapered bit. Then in the toolpath Database in Vcarve use the new bit feature. Under...
I also agree with Joe, I can't tell when my Columbo 3 HP is running.
I have to be very careful as more then once I started to remove the dust shield to change a bit only to find it was still...
Mitch, you can also get it direct from Igus at www.igus.com I just purchased a set for another local Shopbot. Both axis's cost $210.00 and the legth for a 60X120 table was Y car 52" and the X car is...
Dave,
Here is a link to purchase USB cables up to 80' using a repeater to boost signal quality. I personally have not tried this but they also carry 15' USB cables that do not require a...
Don,
Welcome to the forum. Part works does not nest parts. There are several software solutions for nesting being used by other Shopboters. Just do a search using nesting as the key word and...
This topic has been discussed several times over the years. Here is a link to one of the lengthy discussions.

Ok, I may be losing my mind. I should have looked before I leaped. Things have been hectic here for the past month so. When I tried this cut yesterday I forgot that I had ordered an assortment of...
I have been requested to cut multiple parts from 3/4 HDPE. I made a few test cuts and using a 1/4 up spiral bit at 2 ips at 14,000rpm and .5" depth per pass. This works fairly well but leaves a very...
