It probably ( most likley) just brushes on the router. I have changed mine 3 or 4 times.it easy todo and cheap to replace . Could be a good choice for a backup router.

We do as Andrew does also. Works well with luan or masonite and after your done you have a digital file of tool foot print for the next time

Make sure that the bit is clean. I have had buildup before that will stop the connection to the zero plate

I think that we fried something on the input board on our PRT Alpha. I know this happened on another machine I own and I was able to change it to #4 instead of #3, but I cannot remember the process....
You can also grind the foam to shape bit its pretty messy

Draw a vector around the shape and when you calculate the toolpaths highlight the vectors. It will only machine between the vectors

Line 8 had something to do with the virtual tool, I have never seen this before so I couldnt help gary fix this.

I would think, if you picked a section that had no undercuts, you could do a 2 rail sweep and then just machine that portion with the board layinf flat on the table. Otherwise it;s cut at angle...
