You might try using brass as your zeroing material. Tough to imagine brass dulling or breaking carbide tips...
I wonder how many of us actually do this - set-up a long carve, start the machine, and go to bed. I'd love to have that much confidence but I'm not sure I'd be able to sleep. Does anyone else...
Second vote for UgraCNC. Very professional, reasonable price, excellent support. Been running my 2.2kw water cooled spindle for ~ 2 years with ZERO problems. NFI.
Far be it for me to quibble about a few thousands but I buy bits from drillman all the time and they're generally spot on.
