Randall. I would love to see more training material on using the indexer. I use mine often but mostly to learn how to ? So far the only business related items I'v made are PVC finials for my signs.

I cut a lot of PVC and I find it a very nice material. One of the things that I came up with for clean up is to get a regular wire brush and cut off all but the last 3 rows. it is a pretty quick way...
You might also try washing it off with enamel reducer? I've done that to wash the last coat off?
Doc, I'm bringing some silicone molds made from patterns off the Shop Bot along with some finished product.
I just saw this posted. I was heading to the Outer Banks on the 8th so it only makes sense to leave a day early and trade some ideas?

Joe, It also comes in handy for cutting mask on the project.
Dan, As Burchtree said, Centurion tools make nice bits for ColorCore. I also use Unsrud engraving bits. They have them in 15º with flat bottoms from .010 through .090. They cut clean also. If...
Kevin, It pretty nice to work with. What's your question?

I have to tell this story. I had a project last year that included ADA signs. I used Keith's process which worked great. (once I was able to focus on the balls) I completed a few signs and took them...
Neville, I have found that the best solvent for removing glue and not harming plastic is DuPont 3812 enamel reducer. I cut very small text and when I'm done, I flood the cut with 3812 and they lift...
Hey John, Welcome to the forum. I'm in central PA if you need anything!

Bill, What you are seeing is melted bees wax. Where you see the street name is pocketed out and I can change them by heating the wax. The numbers just sit on the pattern and they are attached with...
Chuck, There is a lot of " it depends" there. I've cast as thin as 1/16 in that size range with no problem. You'll need your pour as hot as possible and your sand as dry as possible. I have tipped...
Bill, I use west System for gluing Corian. I assume that any epoxy would work but I'm a creature of habit and I've been using it for everything since it was called Gougeons!

Sorry I missed this one. I second everything that Chuck has said. I operate my own cast aluminum foundry which is why I purchased my bot. I can add one more thing to the material list. I have also...
I use the diamond drag bit from Widgetworks and am very pleased with it.

Shawn, Check out Magnate. They have bits that go to a point and are reasonably priced.
Merry Christmas to all and blessings to all that make this forum work so well.

Brian, I use spray on adhesive, either 3M 77 or Elmer's Craft Bond. Be sure to apply to both surfaces. When I am done I use lacquer thinner or enamel reducer to dissolve the adhesive. When it is...
Bill, You can count me in for Gary's camp in Islamorada. I'm sure I'll need some thawing by then!
Rob, I use Celtec and Sintra. Based on the recomendation from Celtec, I use Sherwin Williams Super paint. They recommend gloss or flat. For whatever reason they don't recommend the semi gloss. They...
Joe, I just had a thought. You could thicken the gel coat with cab-o-sil and use that for the stucco look?
Bryson
Joe, You can do that with gel coat also. I used to make foot baths for dairy barns and the last step was to throw sand on the wet gel coat. When it cured you would just flip it over and bag on it to...
