I've been using 1/4" and 1/8" diameter spiral O flute upcut plastic bits from Amana. I've tried a bunch and these seem to be the best, they leave very little "fuzzies" behind.

Thanks guys!
I'm quoting a job that will need what I think would be "off the shelf" components. Some round disks, rods, etc. in cherry. Anybody know a good place to look? Thanks!
Back in the 80's my grandfather made wooden toilet seats for dollhouses, he cut them out on his scroll saw 5 or ten at a time. He made 1000's of them. He then put them in a wooden drum he made for...
Does anybody have any colorcore (1/2" black/white/black) they'd like to sell me?
I need to make 16 4" x 8" name tags and would hate to buy a full sheet that I won't use.
Let me know if anybody...
Nice Steve, I'll bet Jon is super happy now! I really like that machine, I'm glad you have them back up and running right!
Geoff
Nice looking mantels Steve! I still love that oak leaf v carve design you do!
Thanks all! I think I'll give the spray a try again using willnewton's techniques since I still have some left.
I have some pieces to make that are 6" in height, I have machined them in 2" slices. What do you recommend for gluing them together? I have tried the 3M spray adhesive in the past with mixed results....
Steve,
No problems here on my old Vista system. Not sure what version but I got it as soon as I got the email about upgrading.
Any luck getting Jon's machine running smoother?
Geoff
I use masonite, its cheap and lasts a long time.
Love the signs in the Etsy store Scott posted in post#3. How are they getting such a nice finish in pine? How are they making any money? I would have to charge 3 times that.
Does anyone make a bolt on laser attachment for the shopbot? That could be handy!
ISPM 15 is the regulation that requires all solid wood crates to be heat treated and or fumigated and to be stamped by a certified entity. There is a monthly fee to be certified. The exception is...
John, I got my new Aim-Light in the mail today.....Thanks!! I installed it and showed my 4 year old. He said "COOL, I need to show this to Mom". So now I need another for the other bathroom, please...
Awesome, I'm sure the kids loved it!
I just scanned the parts to a very similar looking plane my 3 year old got for Easter. I just need to trace them in VCP and cut them out. Luckily I scanned the...
Thanks! I'll try that.
Thanks, still trying to wrap my head around this concept of cutting dovetails with a straight bit without cutting one board on it's edge. I couldn't download the edgetailer, I'll have to try it again.
Really? I thought it was just a box joint type cut not an actual dovetail. I'll have to do some more investigating. Can't quite see it in the video, is there anwhere else to see a closeup of this...
I've been using the black Marsh stencil ink lately that I got from Zorotools.com. Looks like their price has gone up but looks like only they sell Black, Tan and white in single cans. I actually...
Yes pump must be left running, at least with mine anyway. I have a switch conviently mounted that turns the pump on and off. I don't machine anything for my pucks. I just drill a 1" or so in the...
I use regular PVC trim which I believe you can get 12" wide. The widest I have in the shop is 10" but I thought I saw 12" pieces at the big box stores.
I use the 1/16" thick Allstar gasket...
A couple pictures of the puck I used last week for a small production job. I just use white PVC trim material from the big box stores, regular 3/8" air hose with quick connect couplers tapped into...
I've used my pucks for lots of pine lumber but nothing that long. The only issue I see would be if there is a lot of twist in the board. On smaller pieces I've done (2 ft or so) a slight twist can be...
I went online and bought a pump from Joes Woodworker as soon as I got home from the Maine camp this summer. It really is awesome. I can't believe I got along without one!
