Help? PRT style control box, non-4g. Has been shut off for a week or so, turned it on today, nothing. When I turn on the switch, the orange led in the switch lights up, the green led lights up for a...
My 2 cents......... Quartersawn is less likely to cup, as opposed to plain sawn, due to the rings being at 90degrees to the face of the board in quartersawn boards. If you use plain sawn, carving a...
I've talked to support many times about my 'Bot that I purchased used(a much older machine), free of charge. I haven't heard of them charging for support, unless it's a new policy, and then it would...
The pinions will wear before the rack does. Replace the pinion, not the rack, assuming the set screws are tight in the pinion.
Jack - do a search on Google for Direct vent condensing furnaces or boilers. I use a 55,000btu unit in my shop, very high efficiency, few features why I chose it - 1. It was free. 2. It has a sealed...
Alot depends on the area of the country you are in as the climate and temperature extremes affect use of a heat pump. I personally like gas due to high efficiency and the direct condensing models...
Use min-wax helmsman spar urethane. Home Depot carries it by me.
Yes, in artcam, this is the procedure I use (Artcam Pro 9)
Use Feature Machining to do this.:
1 Do not model the text into the relief - leave it blank
2 Select your text vectors and...
I'm hoping my question for customers doesn't change from "Do you want interior or exterior finish" to "Do you want catsup or mustard on your burger?"
What software are you using? Do you want raised text, or v-carved text?
I usually run 16000 with PC router on pine and oak, faster rpm seems to make more noise than any extra gain in move speed would be worth.
For pine, 1.9 is kind of slow, I'd cut it at 3, if you do .25 per pass, it shouldn't be a problem. Even though a downcut endmill can cause the kerf to clog with chips, I like it because it tends to...
Did you switch wires at the control box only? Possibly wiring is bad at the motor end? If you haven't yet, try hooking up the suspect motor to the good motor wire.
A small ray of light in a very long dark tunnel!
Right now, I'd be happy just to see the tunnel!
Things have to get better eventually.
Did you modify the Z also?
Do you have any more pictures of the project?
Are you trying to cut a ramped groove? In AC, make rectangle the width/length you want, use shape editor to create the depth, then in relief tools, use fade relief to go from deepest to nothing.
Anybody that can take a .max file and export it to .3ds for me?

Khalid - thanks for the offer, but a cart full would be too many! I'm just going to try and use a few, 2 or 3 in a bunch, or singles.
One or a bunch, both are ok.
What are you looking for help with? Design? Cutting? What material? Looks like an interesting project.
No - not as the title of the post seems. I need a relief of a tomato. Anybody have any? Willing to trade reliefs I have, not just looking for a freebie.
The brain cells don't actually explode - they just kind of ooze out of your ears. Chemical reaction creating a "brain-cell slime". This effect was more prevalent in the post-60's era. Coupled with...
Just got my copy of ecabinets - not bad - took 7 days. Only bad thing is, now I'll have to go for the 4g upgrade, since it won't work with pre-4g boards. Didn't really want to go for both costs right...
