Deceiving the way the lighting and wood is positioned. The feet, columns and top are all stained the same and placed next to one another look the same.
Will be a straight shot into the front...
Finally getting somewhere.. lol
The finish is 10 degree sheen post cat lacquer - will be pretty flat/matte finish when dry.
Last coats on tomorrow, assembly and delivery slated for Tuesday, as...
Prob not. I think its going to be fairly dark. Waiting for stain sample coming from Ethan Allen. The customer bought 12 chairs from them and we are matching the stain. They are slow as molasses...

I also love white oak, but the quartered stuff up here in Canada is like walnut... CRAZY $$. I ampaying almost $10/board foot for 8/4 rough quartered white oak and about $6.50 for flat sawn. Walnut...
The columns were shaped and sanded today (rounded the corners and so forth) but I forgot to take a photo. WIll do next week. This wood is very dense and heavy... the top will weigh in about 350...
Sorry I am not too active the past while on the forum - been busy, and I often forget to take photos and post. Hard to believe that it is 6 1/2 years since I have incorporated the Shopbot into my...
I got home about 6:15. They surprised me with home made Father’s Day gifts and a pizza supper, lol. I have two very good boys. One is almost 4 and the other 7. I am blessed to have two great kids!
My two employees are great. They know what we do inside and out, and have a 100% realistic view on how my company operates. That being said we all have small kids (from 3 to 13) and I didn’t have...
On a related note - anyone doing similar work, I have to say since I installed a 1 1/2 Hp 4 wheel feeder onto my 16” 7.5Hp jointer, I can process so much more lumber. I set the wheels flat to face...
317063170731708Well, I worked hard this weekend. The nice thing is, without my employees, no phone calls and nothing to interrupt me I probably get 50% more work accomplished.
The contractor bid...
My plan was to go camping with my two boys all weekend...
I ended up working all weekend running my Shopbot to cut out about 100 bench/pew ends and supports, to bail out a local contractor who...

All the best to you all in 2018, and Merry Christmas everyone!
I just changed all 70pcs of 48” fluorescent to 5000k led in the main part of my shop... wowee!
It was literally like night and day. I was thinking of it for a while. I bought twenty to try it and...
I was also an experienced woodworker (have been running our cabinet and furniture shop since the mid 1990’s) when I decided to add a Shopbot CNC router to the shop in early 2012.
Having just some...
The Zeta system is far more versatile than one can imagine, until you start to use it. $1600 is cheap for a tool that can allow you to do so much, IMO. It’s allowed me to tackle jobs in the several...
Just another tool in the shop. I dont use pocket screws, and I am not using the Cabineo (yet) since I am limited by my 48" x 48" machine. What I wouldnt do to go back in time and buy a 4 or 5 x 8...
My price here in Canadian dollars:
500 pieces $239
2000 pieces $925
Thats why the Cabineo looks so attractive - no edge boring/cutting needed. Everything can be done easily in 2D on a flat bed.
I bought the plans not too long ago. I hope to make one just for fun. Probably pretty useful too. We have a shop full of carts - I have 7 table height carts, several panel and lumber carts, and...
