Most of the strings I get is from poplar or the softer hardwoods. Russ you system looks really nice, you want to come and do mine?? :) :0
Jeff,
Already have the metal duct, looks like it will be going back up. Never thought of the web at beginning. Thanks, will give it a try.

I am in the process of taking apart a 20 foot section of my 6" metal dust collection piping to my cyclone. It was clogged to my cnc machine. I suspect that the wire running inside of the plastic...
Has the same problem at the same point when doing circles. Brady told me to slow it down a little and I haven't had the problem again
You are quite limited with the trial version of the software, a lot of things do not work for obvious reasons.
Its a prt, not worth 16,000 but I cant see what it comes with, cant blow up the picture.
great work
Bob
At least there is a silver lining to this . The owners of vectric were employed by Delcam, left there and started vectric. They are responsible for some if not most of the software that was artcam...

I recently upgraded my 48" prt with the RBK, new motors, new hardened rails and a new Z. I am putting the old parts up for sale. Everything worked good at time of replacement. Don't know what they...
Thank you everyone. I just thought that with the RBK control box, the newest motors, the hardened rails and the retro z I could push it a little faster, guess not.

Bob
I'll try and draw something to make it less confusing
This is a prt with the RBK contol box and new motors. I will slow it down and hope that is it.
using a 1/4" em, either up or downcut, cuts straight across the wood. Like it catches a corner and goes haywire. Going 180ipm
Bob
Just started doing this the past couple times. When cutting a circle, say 3/4" material. When the bit is getting toward max depth it suddenly veers off the circle and starts cutting into the...
I've used that colorcore bit. I believe I have a 60^ v bit. It cuts great but still leaves some fuzzies in the cut. I don't think you can get away from that.
Bob
i use a water base paint to do the letters. Like everyone else said, poly or shellac after the cut. It helps prevent the paint from spidering into the wood. With the water base it is a lot easier...
in vcp in the roughing toolpath it asks how much material you want left for finishing toolpath(machining allowance). I leave a few hundredths for the finishing toolpath, so most of the material is...
an "o" flute bit will give you very good results. I've cut 1/4" cast acrylic with it with no coolant and it turned out great'
Bob
you could try http://carver3d.com/en/47-catalog

In aspire and I assume it is that way for v carve pro. When making an inlay, you need two toolpaths using the same bit. First is usually the female part then you have to go back and do the male...
