Do you have a picture of the spindle ? HSD or other brand ?
I have 8.5 , I still have 4.5 on my laptop and that will bring in eps files , maybe 3.5 is limited in that respect
What program are you trying to bring the eps into , Aspire , V- Carve Pro ? Are you trying to bring in as a bit map or as vectors ?
I use a small Irwin Dove Tail saw , works good , flexible blade , you can cut close with it .

You can add in your own tool titles in the tool database if using Vectric software , the tool types in the drop down menu are fixed but you can prefix the title and separate the group
