All the hues in your picture are typical of Honduras rosewood.
A very nice idea...and well done.
Harry, do you have any pictures of your finished Batmobile? My wife was in Augusta a few weeks ago and came home and said, I saw something that looked like a Batmobile. I said That WAS a...
You are thorough; I'll give you that. The only thing I do more often than you is I drain the water from my compressor twice a day...when I leave for lunch, and at the end of the day. I would never...
I have gotten international requests for large orders like this. Notice that if you stop responding, they don't bug you...they just move on to the next sucker. A real customer would write again.
Thank you Bob. I have been reading this forum since 2006 when I got my first cnc router. Actually I read several different cnc forums every morning. My reason for posting this was a recent thread...
Thanks a lot guys. Yes, to engrave the edge design I used a 4th axis indexer. Scott, I usually use Atrax end mills from Enco, but they only go down to 1/32". The 1/64" end mill is from Harvey Tool....
A while back I got Brady to scan a silver dollar for me. The resolution of his scans is incredible, and I used the reliefs on a small (3.5" diameter) case for a silver dollar. The case is made of...
Check out this video starting at minute 14...shows cutting that part of the neck: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HHIl1ggQls
Eugene,
I answered your PM before I saw the question here, so I'll post it here too just to clear up any confusion. I was referring to the color theme of the site. This shopbot forum uses dark blue,...
2x to this. Remember that customers are only one click away from going somewhere else. Pictures should be no bigger than 100-150 kb for fast loading.
The content looks great, but I don't care for...
This sounds promising. Can you tell us how many feet it is from your house unit to the shop unit?
Thanks!
Dave, I'm so sorry to hear about this. Would you mind telling us some details on your insurance....company, your distance from a fire hydrant, coverage, cost, any other pertinent details? My...
No doubt the Nordfab is nice stuff. Let's say you have 100 feet of pipe to run. The cheap Nordfab (galvanized instead of stainless) is $25 per 5 feet so the cost for 100 ft. is $500. Thin wall pvc...
I use a Gast 3040 V29B...40 CFM @ 20" hg. I got it new on ebay for $200, but added a 2hp motor to it cost me another $200.
Thanks for the post; beautiful staircase. Snopes gives more details from a practical point of view:

No, sewer and drain pipe is stiff pvc and looks just sch 40 pvc with a thinner wall. It's cheap and you can make your right angle or 45 degree bends with fittings. I would use it to go up to the...
Sewer and Drain pipe. It is the thin wall stuff as opposed to sch 40
I think this flexible hose is best used only for the final connection to the router. Smooth pipe is best for long runs. I have only seen 10' sections at harbor freight.
I don't know about the others, but the Harbor Freight hose is very high quality:

If I wanted to make these mazes, the really fun part would be learning how to draw them. It shouldn't be too hard to study what you see in the video and draw something similar, then wrap it. Set up...
Fortunately (or unfortunately?) it's not the dust on the floor that kills you.
I assume you are talking about African Blackwood, also called Grenadilla, botanical name Dalbergia Melanoxylon. How much of it did he use and for how long? Unless it has been using huge quantities of...
I have found that the more vertical the model, the more pronounced the ridges will be. So if a model curves off near the edges, that's where the ridges will be. Try reducing your stepover and see...
