    Default clearance for 3d milling

    I'm doing a 3d milling that is 2" thick in 2" stock.
Rough pass .5 endmill .2 offset
    Finish pass .25 ball
I'm worried about the spindle hitting the edges of the remaining wood outside the cutting zone.
Do I remove some wood outside the intended cut area.
Or do I buy a longer .25 bit.
Let me know how you approach this.
