    Default Tracing picture with marker

I need to trace a line drawing using a marker is this possible, any suggestion would be helpful, it does not have to be a clean trace.

Corel Draw has a utility to do just what you want.

Corel Draw> Graphics Utilities> OCR Trace

It actually is a separate program and you do not start Draw to get to it. It will be on the "All Programs" pull down at the start bar.

If you don't have that program it is a couple of generations old and can be found cheap on E Bay. I am sure that newer versions probably also have that utility.

Another thing I have done with great success is to scan the item and save it as a BMP. Bring it into Corel Draw (Use the Scrapbook) Start a different layer and construct your trace over it. Then save just the trace as a DXF. If you bring that file in to Parts Wizard it will generate a cut file easily. This will get you a nice clean file with out much fiddling around.

    Hey,

Do you want to put the line drawing on your ShopBot table and trace over it using the ShopBot, or can you do the tracing in a computer program and then use the ShopBot to draw with the marker?

In other words, does the tracing have to be done on the original drawing?
