I make "knock-down" (KD) items for the trade show industry. I don't have a rocker in my portfolio and think it would be interesting to offer one. The assembly would need to be easily reversed for this market and it will need to be comfortable. Rockers can dump you out or throw you back making it hard to get out if center of gravity isn't correct. This is why I would like to see a hard version someone has sat in. I enjoy seeing your designs!

The design does look cool but the lack of a flatter extended back side to the rocker surface looks like this chair may be a "dumper" that goes over backwards too easy. Testing the design for function would be a complete necessity as the liability in rockers is immense. For the absolute perfect solution to the geometry between chair and rocker Maloof is the best standard there is.
The only two things scarier than supplying designs for rocking chairs is baby cribs and bunk beds.

I've made a few, and always add a rounded "foot" (for lack of a better word) in both the front and back, to prevent rollovers in either direction. My 1.5 year old granddaughter loves it, and has yet to go over in either direction - and she plays hard!
