Default value and application for Coroplast?

I have read posts mentioning a substrate called Coroplast. I don't know anything about it but saw a ad for a bunch of it for sale. It is white:

"I have a large quantity of new coroplast measuring 30" x 144" with 3/8 inch thickness" he is asking $16.00/each

What is the main usage for this and what is it worth?

It's main usage is in temporary signs, etc. You can make things with it, they have hooks that hook them together once cut, but if you don't have a need for it, it'll probably sit for a long time. I did a job with it and I have some leftover sheets. It might be worth getting a sheet or two to play with. The 10mm is pretty strong.
