    Default Distance Screw Up

    Hey guys,
for some reason my shopbot is not moving the correct distance. It seems to be moving a percentage of the distance then it should. for example I pushed in 16 inches it went to 11 and 1/8 inches. when I put in 4 inches it went to 3 inches. What is the problem?

Go to the upper menu or type in VU. This is your value units. For some reason they must have changed. Each type of machine has differents values, so make sure you have the correct ones.

If your unit values are correct, this could point to the other problem you posted above. Loose pinion, bad wire or connection, or other motor problem. You didn't indicate whether this was only a problem in X or in both x and y directions. If problem just in x and unit values ok, you likely have a x motor dropping out for some reason.
