    Default First sign project

Volunteer project for the High school and Middle school:

The frames are 8x8 rough Fir and the roof is 2x4 / 2x6 Fir with galvanized sheeting. The signs are machined double sided into MDO. I have a Buddy 32 so I used 4 panels with 1/8" steel splines with epoxy to form the 64x48" size. Overall, the sign stands over 10’ high and just under 7.5’ wide.

Sprayed finish with many coats of paint and topcoat and cured for 30 days in my shop before hanging. Probably overkill but I want it to last as long as possible.

We will put the lighting in next spring.

Nice job Kelly! They look really good and based on the sign lying on the ground behind it, they were needed.
