Question Depreciation and slavage costs of a Shopbot!

Crunching numbers and having fun! ...Not! Question! Regardless of the type of machine what is the standard depreciation percentage and possible salvage cost of a Shop bot on 5 year time period. Maybe add the depreciation of any other equipment (Vacuums pumps, dust collectors)

    Thank you in advance!!

Just take some time and look through the for sale items for the past several months on this board. Many are marked sold and generally it is pretty easy to figure out approximately what they sold for.

    Bart...
Those exact numbers need to come from your tax advisor. That said, you can depreciate 100% in the first year (sec 179)

Due to demand of used machines, they seem to hold their value very well. Like Bobb says, look in the "for sale" section and see what used sell for.

Oh man Thank for the words of wisdom!

I just check out Section 179 and I will search the for sale ads for pricing. Appreciate the help! Back to Grindstone!
