    Default Happy Hollow

This was a sign that was requested for the Conference Room at the local Childrens park and zoo. The park was refurbished in 2010 and reopened with all new rides and attractions.

I wanted to go with a very rustic look. I did not want the machine made look but more of a hand carved. I took the routed piece and distressed it with a die grinder.

"Happy Hollow" sign was made with the PRT 96 out of HDU. I utilized Rhino 3d and Artcam for the toolpaths. Cut with a 1/8" taper bit. I took about 6 hours to cut. Painted with a semi gloss latex.

The dragon was hand sculpted relief utilizing the two part epoxy putty. I believe about 6 hours of painting and sculpting all together.

The bottom sign in the first picture is on pine with hand painted letters.

Good job. The painting must have been a chore
