Default Celtic knots and Arabic designs

I have found a site which may be of interest here.
Go to it to see what you can do.
Below is a very simple example of what you can achieve.
I only found it an hour ago, and have been playing.
I am going to play more, and try something much more elaborate. I will post the results and explain the technique I am using.
The program is free do use as you like (in fact the guy states in FAQ that he has no interest in selling the program, its just a hobby for him.)
You will see that there are steps to go from your design within the program to a cutting file, but I think it is fairly straightforward (I have to do more experiments).
If others are interested, it would be nice when they created patterns, to post them here for others to use.
    More later.

    Hi Guys....
There is another free program, that is also rather fun, it can be found on the www.cnczone.com web page, and do a search for "spirocnc". There are several pages of comments, and close to the last page, you will find the lastest free version. It only output g-code, but that is not really a problem.

    Enjoy...Paul

I have been playing with the knots3d program the last week. I also downloaded the knots font and created this simple border design that I want to carve into a small end table. I would be happy to share the V Carve Wizard file or an AI file if somebody could create the SBP file for me.

    Kevin, that is nice.
I will certainly be willing to share either the completed .dxf file or the .sbp file with every design I make.
Is the 'knots3d program the same one I pointed to?

Gerald, if you recall I spent a couple of hours creating one design, from a photograph. The program I found allows you to create your own patterns. Hani's work was the inspiration to follow up this type of project.
I,also, would like to hear from him again, see more of his work.

    Hi Everyone,
Thank you Gerald and mike for remembering me, good to hear from you. My profile was unfortunately deleted without me knowing. I still adore my Old shopbot PRT96. Maybe I have deviated a little and built my own 16 feet long CNC Machine with HSD 12 HP Quick change Spindle. However, I still would like to get the new Shopbot PRT Alpha. Since you guys got me encouraged, I will be posting many more samples of my recent work. By the way, I am in the process of building a CNC vertical painting machine. I will be posting my painting test samples very soon.

    Regards,

    Hani

Kevin - You can send either file to me at the email listed in my profile and I'll generate the SBP file with VCarve Wizard. Just let me know the particulars of how you want to machine it. I have to go to work shortly, so I won't be able to get to it until tomorrow, but it should not take long.

    Hey! Hani
Great to hear from you again!
How is life in Manama .
Do let us know more of your projects, you have an original slant on things.
Also, tell us more about your CNC painter.
Is it for faking Rembrandts or painting chairs?
    Pleased your back.
(Put your pin on Geralds map )

Vertical painting CNC.. What? How about a CNC sanding machine for everything that I cut out..

Hani, it is good to hear from you. Look forward to seeing what work you have been up to. Look forward to seeing this 16' machine.

    Hani, welcome back!
