    Default Horse Farm Sign

Hi all. Cut this sign for a wholesale customer yesterday. 15lb corafoam.
I used Dan Swatzky's texture magic bitmap for the background texture.
Hope everyone is keeping busy. This spring has been my busiest in years.

    Excellent work Glen.

Duna is a good substrate choice. It holds detail and is much easier to seal off and finish than most HDU's.

I know this kind of work takes lots of brush skills. If you prime it with a good High Build primer finishing will be easier. I like DuPont's catalized type. One of the techniques which speeds up the process is to cut horses, panels and banners as seperate pieces. That way you can paint them without masking and apply when the everything is finished. Gilding is much faster also.

I'm looking forward to your progress.

    Thumbs up

    Glen,

The center piece is begging for a Clan crest in the Irish or Scotts tradition. Will you be gracing us with a photo or two of that work, as well? I want to do some work on my own family's Clan Badge soon. Any caveats you could tell us about?

Great work. Very Classy work. Congratulations.

Hi Joe. The size of the sign is 26" x 40". I cut for another sign shop so the painting and finishing is being done by them. I might recut it for a sample in the shop so then i would be painting.
