    Default Hanging wall cabinet/shelf

I just finished building this wall shelf or cabinet if you want to call it that, as a display piece for my showroom.

The carcass is built from brown maple, with a fair bit of curl on the front half. The drawer fronts are barely spalted, blue stained, curly brown ambrosia maple.

The carcass is mounted to the wall with 6 screws into 3 different studs. The screws are concealed using pocket holes underneath the top, and the bottom.

The piece is finished with target coatings EM-1000 sealer, and EM 6000 waterborne spray lacquer. I will probably end up re-spraying the top in a few days since I ran out on the final coat

simple but elegant. I always hate when i use my tiger maple on stuff that i think might be suited for something better and you need to let people know what it is so as to appreciate the real beauty of the wood. Nice job!

    Thanks.

I am quite pleased with waterborne finishes (specifically target) and I have begun using them on projects, after playing with samples for a few weeks.

I second Targets products. I never set up to spray solvents and have almost exclusively used Target. Their finish is excellent and they have a forum that has been very good.
    Good job on the shelf.
