Very nice George-I really like the way you have the florals "climbing" on the bevel. Great touch.

Real nice! And I guess that is GDK in the lower right corner?

Very nice, George. I like the sentiment! Just out of curiosity, what did you use to hold down the plaque?

    Bill,
    I use mechanical clamping.
    For production, I milled a 9 X 12 pocket in a 24 X 24 board from Lowes.
This locates each piece accurately for production work.

The blanks, from Michaels, come in different shapes, but they all will fit into the cavity.

    George,

    Thank you for posting.

This is a Drop-Dead wonderful example of creative work. It doesn't look as if there was any tearout. Good choice of wood too.

Once upon a time I had a vac system. For my kind it didn't work very well.

Here are a couple hold downs. They were cut from 2" Oak from a discarded table.

If anyone wants a DXF all you need to is email me. When I was designing these my mind kept drifting back to the felt hammers I'd seen on the interior of a piano. They must have taken piano artists years to develope and refine. Hope they don't mind my using them on such a crude process.
