    Default SB workstation project...

Does anyone have a DXF of the ShopBot Workstation project? I'd like to make some changes to it in order to use it as a kiosk for my flight simulator. I'd rather not have to draw it based on the one I built a few years ago - I just don't have the time.

    Thanks all!

I've looked there - the zip file contains all of the SBP cut files and some instructions, but no CAD files.

    tnx.

    Thanks Jimmy.

Here's the project I'd like the DXF file for:

(What Jimmy had wasn't what I needed, but I really appreciate the effort!)

    Gene,

I have the original zip file, but there's no .dxf in the archive. You could run the files through the .sbp to .dxf converter or if you happen to have the old Vector program you can backplot it too.

The other option would be to ask Bill Young if he has the .dxf for it.

I tried the SBP->DXF converter and ended up with an unusable mess unfortunately.

Bill - if you're reading this, is there any way you could throw the DXF my way?

    Tnx!

Here's what I got. It should get you close. Profile on line or offset to the outside by 0.125"

I'm sure Bill has this, but though I'd give it a try.

Gene when I built my simpit I got the plans from this great site:
    http://www.rogerdodger.net/index.html

I built the PACS http://www.rogerdodger.net/diyflightsims/pacs.html and used Saitek pedals, switchpanels and the X-52 Pro HOTAS to finish it off. I don't have a projection screen (yet) so in the meantime I have a 42" flat panel mounted on the front

Thanks Scott! If I understand correctly, if I want to "restore" it to the original dimensions by doing an outside offset of .125?

Brian, I built one of his Sidewinder lamps - the plans are nice, but firmly in what I would call the "lo-fi" category.

Wander around here: http://geneb.simpits.org and you'll understand why I think that way. http://www.f15sim.com and http://www.diy-cockpits.org/coll would be recommended too. *grin*

If you can swing, it get two more 42" displays and a Matrix Triple Head 2 Go, digital version. Your SO will have to knock you unconscious to get you out of that thing.
