    Default Hard Coat with HDU

I designed this in Coreldraw x2. Produced the toolpaths in Millwizard. I took about 4 hours to cut on my prt 96. The substrate is HDU 15lb. I applied a two part epoxy clay to give the dragon face the relief of hand sculupted. I painted the colors with Kelly Moore flat finish. What I was most impressed by was the clear coat. My local Kelly Moore sales rep told me about their new exterior grad clear coat. A two part water base polyureathane. Very low VOC which is a big deal here in the bay area. I applied it with a HLVP sprayer and was very impress. I cut the two part mix with about a 20% water reduction. Great hard shell when dry. I put two coats on which I would guess is a total 5 mil. thickness.
This is going into a children amusement park and I knew it would be down where they could touch it. The hard shell hopefully will give it years of protection or at least last until I retire next year.

The paint job is fantastic. Good job. It takes a steady hand to make that look good
