Okay.. the Home made tool was in action today
...I got some different results, got the Twist in my Head ;)...but not in the wooden Log ;)...

Thank You Jack, u like it.. You are the master of Barley Twist, if u like it then i feel relax ;)...

The 2D toolpath is generated in Artcam, and it took 15 minutes to complete... I used 4-passess for each twist, each pass 3mm deep... Total depth 12mm.. on 3" dia stock..

what control software do you use to run your indexer? You should try next a hollow spiral. Let me know if you would like to try some other toolpaths and designs. Do you have other router bits like roundovers or ropespirals?

na na na.. I don't have those bits you mentioned... Actually you posted Picture of Barley Twist Bit in one of my thread and i roughly made it... so you are the one who helped me
The radius of my Bit is very steep and it is 25mm in diameter...

I use Mach3 to control my machine and i use Modelmaster postprocessor to generate the toolpath in Artcam....
