Edge Chatter 3 and partworks version

Regarding my previous post on 2D probe files having less than perfect edges.
Scott mentioned to try using the tool in partworks "fit curves to selected vectors" I can't seem to find that. I think I have Partworks 2? I have version 3.0.2.0. I have the understanding that there is a version 3? Maybe that tool is in the newest version or am I just missing it somewhere in what I have. Any opinion about getting the newest version @ $800.

I don't have PW, but since it is the same as VCarve Pro, I just assumed that tool was there. It is possible that it is in the latest version though. Someone with the latest version will have to verify that.

Here is that tool in the latest version of VCP.

You mentioned that you have Partworks V2.

The "Fit Curves to selected vectors" tool has existed in Partworks,
since V2.0

Could you in fact have Part Wizard?


If you have Partworks V2, the version number within Help > About PartWorks,
should read 2.xxx (most likely 2.015)


If you do indeed have Partworks and not Part Wizard, the upgrade to
Partworks 2.5 a free one.
The upgrade to the current Partworks 3.0 is I believe $150 not $800.

Thanks Mark, Looks like I have version 1. So that is probably why I don't have that tool.
