I had a similar problem and had to move the ground wire from the proximity switch to a different pin on my controller board.

Currently, the machine is grounded as per the manual. Would a ground rod outside of the window of my shop help? At the moment, I have just been shop-vac-ing the chips as needed, so there is no hose to be grounded. Real dust collection forthcoming soon.
Here is my plan unless you guys think I should try something different.
Clean and re-attach all the grounding points.
Check (and change if necessary) the ground hookup for the prox switches.
Possibly install a ground rod outside of my shop. This could quite possibly be the root of the problem as the nearest ground rod for my shop is at the house 100 feet away.
Thanks
Mark
I re-grounded my bot and all seems well. Thanks guys. It's pretty cool that this body of knowledge is here
