    Default Bear in the cloud

    Hi fellow shopbotters.
Here is my first 3D sign, done on a PRT 48x96 with 4G and PC Router.
The overall sign length is 10 feet.
The bear was done on two separate 3 inch thick pine slabs. Overall thickness
of the bear is 6 inches. So I had to use Aspire's slice function because my bot cannot take a full 6 inch thick piece. I am very pleased with the result and the power of Aspire. Not to mention that the bot went through the work without a glitch. Roughing bit is 3/8 in. ball nose and finishing bit is 1/8 ball nose.
It took 14 hours for the finishing pass on the first (bottom) slab.
I so far have done many signs, stair and furniture components with the CNC.
Everything has always worked beyond my expectations and I was anxious to machine my first 3D sign.
    So here it is.
    Thanks for looking.

That's pretty cool! The shading in the paint job really makes it. Wish I could sleep like that bear....for the rest of the winter!

Awesome sign! 14 hours is a lot, but what the heck, right? It takes time to do things right! Good Job.
