    Default T Slot

I know it has been discussed before but I can't seem to find what I want. Where is a good place to purchase T slot for my table? I am needing to install some hold downs for myself since I am getting tired of using screws. Thanks!!

I did it for awhile on jigs. then I just cut the t slot into mdf. much easier to do and if you cut into it no loss.

    Default rockler

got mine at rockler. i found recently that all t-bolts are not equal. so you might insure that your t-slots are compatable with your clamps.

    That's not a bad idea!
I might just try machining a few "T" Slots directly into my Maple Butcher Block Table later this year.

it is pretty easy. you just need to make sure the bit enters the wood from the edge and exits too. with wood you may want to use a straight bit to cut the main slot. frued makes a bit that cuts the t slot and the main slot but solid wood may be too much.

here are some low quality pictures of mine. i stole the idea from someone else on here. their table was a few inches longer then the sacrifice board which i like better and someday will copy it. that allowed a t track to be cut into it allowing end clamps to run across the y axis of the table. hopefully that made sense, i am working on my first cup.

    Their "Heavy-Duty" T-track fits standard hex-head bolts.
