BEST multi-axis zero setter

Can anyone reccomend the best multi-axis zero setter? I'm interested in the aility to find 0,0,0 of a piece of material, assume it to have a 90 degree corner and also find the center of a hole, any diameter. It would be nice to do this automotically with a programmable/selectable routine. All of your opinions are greatly appreciated.

Wow, that little tool looks very handy, I could make one myself easy enough but were can I get the software to work with it? Are the files only available from anyone?

Here's one that I made/use. It can set the machine to the corner of the part, fixture, or table (great for accurately setting the table home for the C3 routine). There's no need to remove the fences for inside our outside setting, just flip it over and plug the banana plug into the other corner. Make up a cord with a banana plug on one end and a alligator clip on the other and clip it to the SB zzero plate when needed. I don't bother setting Z with it as it's just easier to use the Shopbot supplied zzero plate when doing that, but you could just as well use it for setting the Z if desired.

Another way I use it is to set up a 'work offset' system where I can quickly go between any number of saved work offsets/fixtures with one click.

The file should be set up as a custom cut so it can be accessed from the 'Cuts' menu. If you try it, test it first, as you may have to make some adjustments to the file for your machine setup. Read through the .sbp file to see what's happening as it runs.

I always assume the part is centered at machine coordinates 10,10.
I am often wrong.
