    Default $16000.00 to build feet!

Hey - if we ShopBotters just called ourselves podiatrists, we could rake in the dough!

"One reason why it may cost upwards of $16,000 for one pair of shoes is because the equipment used to make laser scans isn't set up for someone as big as him."

    Really?

Step one - make a two piece cast of giant feet.
Step two - separate and send to Brady for laser scanning, then assemble halves into positive 3d model.
Step three - cut positive feet from suitable material
Step four - send feet to custom shoe maker.
Step five - rake in dough.

Or.......some enterprising company who wants some incredible national exposure in a follow up article could call this reporter and the tall guy up and make a deal!

No... one reason it may cost upwards of $16,000 for one pair of shoes is because they are for "medical" purposes. This means all the extra overhead of double billing, over charging, over paying attorneys, malpractice insurance, health insurance cost overruns, lobby payments and greens fees all have to be added to the $300 shoes they are going to make. Seems like a deal when you think about it.
