    Wow!

I'm honored to even be mentioned in the same thread as the legendary Joe Crumley.

Truth be told, Joe has a great deal to do with the reason I selected to buy a Shopbot over all of the other CNC brands. I was a frequent visitor to this forum before I finally pulled the trigger to buy my machine. I was so impressed with Joe's willingness to share all of his knowledge in signmaking technique and design.

I remember talking to my wife on several occasions about Joe and his posts sharing all of his wisdom. I would say "Joe Crumley showed how to apply this or that", and she would say "who"? My reply was always "Joe Crumley!... the sign God from Oklahoma!"

I still refer to Joe as the sign God from Oklahoma.

    Thanks for everything Joe!

Well you deserve it, Eric. You make basically only one type of sign, but you do it very well and have shown how to put a Bot to work, successfully making money. You identified a market and niche and jumped on it with an obvious talent and determination that has paid off for you.

A sign artist is exactly that,...an artist. And you, sir, are an artist.

I got to thinking about Joe today- he was 70 in 2010 [I am 75 now] and his website is still up. Has anyone heard anything about him?
