    Would this also apply to two 12 volt power supplies hooked up in parallel? If so, what value of resistor should be used?

    Yes Robin,

    I'd go for the 680 ohm resistors. We can send you some.

    This is not a life and death matter ... but in the long run I think its better to cut the current back a bit when we're supplying more voltage.

    PS I have been trying without success to paste in the little drawing of where the resistor goes ... hopefully I'll get it up before too long.
