    Default Another Christmas Present

This is another present I made for my brother for Christmas. Thanks to Brady who digitized the original badge for me I cut it out of Maple and cut the plaque out of Sapele.

This was definitely a challenge it was the first full 3D image I have attempted to cut. It was a nerve wracking 4 hours. HA!

I wish I could have done inlays for the name, but I haven't figured out how to pull it off yet!

I did a Tung Oil finish then a clear poly.

    Default police plaques

I have done a few of those myself. I like the raised perimeter around the badge. Just how easy was it to sand that plaque?

It was a pain to sand the badge ! The perimeter was the rope border around the original badge. Thanks much for the compliments. I'm still a rookie big time. Just trying to learn new skills with each project.
