    Default First Prototype

This is my first design. I wanted to come up with a chair that could be put together without any tools and would take a standard patio cushion. I still have some tolerances to figure out but I appreciate any feedback.

I like it! Maybe just add a cup holder

Were you able to fit it all on one 4'x8' sheet?

It fits in about two thirds of a sheet. I hope to get three from two sheets.

That is very cool but obviously you couldn't use mdf in this application outside right? I like the design, good job

Nice! Care to post the file...

Not mdf but mdo or 4x8x.75 sheets of "recycled plastic" ply...

Yes, I used standard sizes and it is very comfortable for me, I am 5' 11". My son in law is 6' 1" and would like it a bit bigger.

Yes, I used a combination of datos, mortices, a C cut, and the angle of the seat and back to lock it all together.
