    Default When Z's Go bad

OK, maybe not bad, but down.

When the Z moves down to the work should my z position be going negative? For example; Would 0 at the work and say 7 at the upper detent be correct?

When the Z moves towards the bed, it should be going in a negative direction. However, the number displayed on the DRO may not be negative, especially if you zeroed on the machine bed.

Yes, 0 at the work and 7" at the top sounds reasonable. As the router is raised, the Z value should increase.
