Retro Z Pictures?

I was hoping someone could post pictures of their retro Z other than the 2 that are on the SB site. I bought mine used (although it has not been used) so I am not sure of the install.

I have the Z and a bag of plates etc. with no bolts and I am looking for help to assemble and mount the unit.

I know there are 2 upper and lower brackets, but I am not sure what all the different plates are for.

We installed a Retro Z and a 5hp HSD Spindle on a PRT. There are a couple of small "gotchas". To allow the clearance for the dust extraction you need to drill new holes on the carriage to allow the spindle to move as far to the back as possible but you must still allow a little clearance at the back as there are bolts holding the air ram support bracket. We had to fabricate a new air ram support bracket to allow enough room. Other than that small problem it was a definite improvement over the previous Z Slide and well worth the effort and cost.

I am still on the old ball screw from the '90's...

But with the 4g it got much better. I may try to keep both on there.

Richard it's 2013...nostalgia is cool but for what you are wanting to do with a PR frame is gonna be tough...but I do love my PR don't get me wrong!
