Default Where did this image come from?

I saw this several months ago and wondered if anyone knew where the image or vectors came from that this guy used? Possibly from a dover book or?

I didn't think optical illusions necessarily translated very well to wood but this guy seems to have pulled it off well.

    Jack,

Looks like he did a pretty good job but what would sell it is if the perspective lines went to the corners of the material and then v carved just to the edge and not off the edge.

A friend of mine that i helped with his cnc build a few years ago plays with it.

I'll see if he's got time to send me some pics.

    Regards

that project was done by Mike Woycke. I messaged him several months ago inquiring about where the image came from but did not get a response. Possibly the message is floating in space on it's way to mars, stuff like that get's lost all the time. If anyone knows him point him to this...

I know i have (somewhere) that sphere you speak of, that when you look at it it looks like a bulge is popping up from the surface along with a couple others. I just saw this one and had a thought to try to carve it. But like many things, you see, you intend to cut it but never do.
I have a "temporary projects folder", things i see that i want to make and give them a priority. The problem is that folder is getting bigger and bigger and nothing is getting made.

Now I just need to know how you searched the image.
I had an app that Google was working on where you could take a picture of something, then Google that picture, and it'd tell you about it.
Mainly if it was a landmark or restaurant or so forth. It didn't work worth a damn. It did work, to some extent, on faces, for whatever reason.

Is there a chrome app or something now?

Ahh, found it. Google images. I'm glad I saw this, it's gonna be a big help!!!
