    Default manually set z zero

having problems with zero plate wires and cannot perform z2 command. is there a way to manually set z zero? i am thinking of manually moving (k command) bit to surface of material and zeroing from there. will that work?

    Hi Martin,

It is not Z2, that just zero's your x and y position. Try C2 after you ensure that your zero plate completes the circuit by placing on your router bit and the green light on your control panel comes on.

    Cheers,

    Roger.

Yes use the manual k command get it close click the fixed movement button set to like .01 and bump it down, a sheet of thin paper on the workpiece can be your feeler gage. hit zz on the keyboard and and it should set zero.
