New style fishing rod rack for Denali Rods, Inc.
I build fishing rod racks with my Bot. I have a web site where I sell my standard racks. But I also build custom racks. Sometimes solid wood racks for someone's office or "man cave". But I got an email from Denali Rods asking if I would build them custom racks for rods. These racks will be in the local tackle shops hold the new Denali Rods. They wanted something different. So, here is what I came up with.... The entire rack is cut on the ShopBot and the letters on the sides are 1/4" PVC set in a 1/8" deep pocket. Fun project. I'm working on the first order of 12 racks now. I had to make a quick and dirty vacuum table to do the letter. Thanks to Brady and others, I was able to get a vacuum motor and build a simple box to hold it. And the next hing you know I'm cutting letters.... So, here are the pix.
